Artist Information

Elizabeth Gerdeman is a visual artist who was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She received a Master of Fine Arts degree and certificate of Interdisciplinary Specialization from The Ohio State University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Columbus College of Art & Design. Her work has been widely exhibited with recent exhibition venues including the Modern Art Museum in Yerevan, Armenia; Else Foundation Symposium in Mexico City, Mexico; Athens Digital Arts Festival in Athens, Greece; (Z)ORTEN in Graubünden, Switzerland; the Bureau for Cultural Translations (Бükü) and Helmut in Leipzig, Germany. Her various teaching experiences include Visiting Assistant Professor of Painting at Ohio University, Adjunct Instructor at the Columbus College of Art & Design, and Lecturer and Graduate Program Coordinator for the Department of Art at The Ohio State University. Since 2015, she is a Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig.
