Artist Information
Jenita has been a professional artist for eighteen years; she is a painter and installation artist that creates work from oils, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media. She has taught courses in Art History, Foundations, Painting and Drawing for eighteen years at community colleges and universities in Ohio and Arizona. She has exhibited her work nationally and internationally in group and solo venues in California, Michigan, Kentucky, Texas, St. Louis, Ohio, Philadelphia, Arizona, Indiana, Atlanta, Washington DC, Chicago, and Ghana, Africa. Throughout the country, her work has been awarded and collected, and published in books, catalogs and reviewed by many art critics and newspapers. Jenita has completed two large public commissions and attended art residence in New York and Germany. Jenita has owned and operated Studio J One in Phoenix Arizona and Studio J Two in Scottsdale, Arizona. She has curated exhibits at the Art Loft Studio and Gallery in Columbus, Ohio and North 5th Ave, Studio and Gallery Phoenix, Arizona.
