“That residency was pivotal in my need for change and growth - it came at a perfect time when I felt stagnant in my work, and the experience taught me to seek challenge and new experiences. What I saw, what I experienced, and the people I met fully changed me as an artist and a person. I was able to do the residency with a young family, with its joys and challenges, and this still impacts how I make and think as a mother.”
