Artist Information

Jill Paz

Born in Makati, Philippines in 1982, Filipino-Canadian Jill Paz emigrated to the United States in the early eighties. She received both a BFA and MFA at the Columbus College of Art and Design. She attended the AICAD studio program at Parsons School of Design in New York City and pursued Art History at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver Canada. Paz has been part of group exhibitions at the Banff Centre in Banff, Canada, the Columbus Museum of Art in Columbus, Ohio and the Mori Museum in Tokyo. After recently emigrating back to the Philippines, she presented a solo exhibition at 1335MABINI in Makati. This past year, her solo installation ‘Grove of Trees’ was featured at the Discoveries Sector of Art Basel Hong Kong. She currently lives and works in Manila, Philippines.
